This is a great list of places to avoid. Hua Hin, Phuket, Koh Samui, really. They are all best avoided.
Hua Hin would have to have the worst beach in all of Thailand! Phuket is a dump.
No mention of Prachuap Khiri Khan which is probably the nicest town and beach in mainland Thailand.

The giant Buddha statues at Sukhothai Park are completely mindblowing. You never see statues that large and that beautiful in the US. If you’re going to Thailand you absolutely HAVE to make sure to stop at Sukhothai Park and see them for yourself. Pictures on the internet are simply incapable of doing them justice.

In my opinion, Chiang Mai is the best place to visit in Thailand :D

Thanks for including our contribution! I’m hoping to return to Thailand next year, and there are so many places to explore still. I’ve never even heard of Koh Libong – will definitely be checking it out!
